Admission Criteria

- Method 1: Consider the results of the National High School Exam. The admission test score is the plus point of 03 exam subjects according to the combination of entrance exams, reaching the minimum quality assurance threshold for university entrance as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Upon graduation, students will be awarded a university degree at the Engineering Control Engineering and Automation level and become highly skilled engineers able to design, operate and maintain systems. Industrial automation control.

- Circuit Design Center,

- Working as a research specialist at universities specializing in automatic control in the country;

5. Program output standard objective

a. Educational philosophy

 

School: "Experiential learning - Applied research - Community service."

The school creates an applied learning environment and aspires to develop in service to its students' community. The school believes that through experiential learning activities, students will develop professional competence, scientific research capacity, passion for creativity, and respect for professional ethics.

Program: "Learning by design."

Students will experience creating a new product: "Conceive - Design - Implement - Operate", helping them achieve the expected learning results. The lecturer is a facilitator and accompanies students throughout the experiential learning process.

i) Internationalization / globalization

How does the program promote internationalization and encourage students to develop multicultural abilities?

- Globalization: The program helps students acquire competencies to meet the domestic and foreign labour market requirements, compatible with ABET international standards.

- Multicultural communication: Many cultural exchange activities and international cooperation have been carried out to create opportunities for students to participate in academic and cultural exchanges. In addition, many graduate faculty from different countries have provided students with helpful information about cultural differences between countries. That helps students develop cross-cultural communication.

ii) Comprehensiveness

How are good practices ensuring equity, diversity and inclusion incorporated into program design, content and delivery?

The program provides learning opportunities for all students regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, age and disability. Courses allow learners to choose a major according to their interests and abilities.

  • The purpose and learning outcomes of the program meet Vietnam's national qualifications framework (level 6 for university graduates) and the Law on Higher Education of Vietnam.

e. Condition graduate

  • Students must accumulate 150 credits in the program.
  • Student's cumulative GPA equal to or above 5.0 / 10.0
  • Students must obtain certificates in defence education, physical education and soft skills.
  • Students must have an English certificate (TOEFL PBT 450, TOEIC 450, IELTS 4.5, EPT-TDMU 45)
  • Students must meet Advanced Informatics standards
  • There are two graduation exams each year, in May and December each year.

 

7. Contributions of regular faculty and/or staff outside of the University

Based on the expected output standards of the program, the Faculty annually develops a teaching assignment plan for permanent and visiting lecturers. Visiting lecturers are professionals from business, academia and other universities who have extensive experience working in industry or teaching.

8. Experiential learning ( work-based)

a. Does the program have experiential learning modules?

The program has modules for students to practice and practice. These modules allow students to visit, study and experience the natural working environment. A general introduction to Automation and Control Engineers taught in the first year helps students understand the role of Automation and Control Engineers, the necessary career skills, and the soft skills of an automation engineer. Expertise and experience in creating products. Module: Technical internship helps students experience the natural working environment for 4 – 8 weeks

Module: Graduation internship helps students have the opportunity to work at enterprises for 8-12 weeks

f. How will experiential learning be assessed?

For work-study courses, students have to carry out practical topics given by experts at the enterprise. Student supervisors and instructors at Enterprises participate in the evaluation of the report.

 

9. Student involvement in program development

How were current and/or former students involved in the development of this proposal/program?

Students are allowed to contribute ideas to improve the program through surveys and meetings. Student feedback on the quality of the faculty's teaching in each subject is collected through course evaluations taken at the end of each course. Feedback on the former's teaching methods is provided through an annual survey and exit survey.
